8About Me
Sérgio Monteiro (DEng, Msc, PhD) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Infustrial Electronics, University of Minho, where he teaches courses on introductory electrical engineering, signals and systems, signal processing and robotics. He was the Director of the Integrated Masters on Industrial Electronics and Computers Engineering between 2011-2013 e and Associate Director of the same degree between 2009-2011. Since December 2021 he is the course Director of the Doctorate in Electronics and Computer Engineering. He also integrates the Centro Algoritmi research unit, in the Mobile and Anthropomorphic Robotics Lab of the Control, Automation and Robotics group of the Industrial Electronics research line. His research interest are focused in intelligent robotics (either single or multi-robot) systems and its applications. Since 2023 he is an affiliated researcher to the CCG/ZGDV Institute He has participated in several research projects financed by national and european funds (FCT, H2020-PT and FP6) such as: iFACTORY, P24 – "Autonomous Milk-Runs", JAST - "Joint Action Science and Technology” and CoopDyn - “Synthesis of Cooperative Behavior in Multi-Robot Systems: a Nonlinear Attractor Dynamics Approach”.
