1About Me
Manuel Rodrigues is a researcher at the ALGORITMI centre at the University of Minho and at LASI - Laboratório Associado de Sistemas Inteligentes (Associated Laboratory for Intelligent Systems) and a guest lecturer at the Department of Informatics at the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, where he teaches courses related to computer science. He obtained a degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Minho, where he later also completed a Master's degree in Information Systems with a unanimous classification of Very Good. He holds a PhD with European honours, in Intelligent Systems, from the University of Vigo in Spain, where he obtained the classification of "sobresaliente cum laude", the highest classification. His current research focus is Artificial Intelligence and its application in different contexts, including intelligent tutoring systems, affective computing, behavioural analysis, smart cities, e-governance, AI in Medicine and industry, among others. He has participated in several research projects. He is the author of several scientific publications in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and is also a member of several programme/technical/organising committees for various scientific events. He is also a reviewer for various conferences and scientific publications.
