Bruno Azevedo is an Algoritmi Center – engageLab researcher, which is an interdisciplinary laboratory at the intersection of art, science, and technology at the University of Minho. He worked as a Post-Doc researcher in the INNOVATIVE CAR HMI a partnership between the University of Minho and Bosch, in the project line P6.8.9 Cockpit Of The Future: HMI Concepts And Functions, in Intelligent adaptive interfaces, machine learning, usability, and user experience. He is also a researcher in a multidisciplinary project, namely 6.849,32 New Scientific Journal Articles Everyday: Visualize or Perish! (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-28284).  He also teaches Information Visualization and Data Analysis as an invited professor in the Digital Humanities Master's Degree Program of the Institute of Arts and Humanities of the University of Minho and Digital Fabrication in the Visual Arts Bachelor of the School of Architecture. As a researcher, he likes to cross boundaries between design/art, science, and technology. His research interests focus is the evolution of biological and cultural information systems, information visualization (hierarchical and relational structures), network science, information theory and complex systems, information science, information and communication design, user interface design, and user experience design. He utilizes research methodology and techniques from UX design and visualization to integrate data processing with interactive interfaces. He also works in the field of computational aesthetics/design (Generative Art & Design), 3D Printing, and Product Design.
