0About Me 
António Miguel de Sousa Rocha, PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering, concluded in 2018 at the University of Minho. He is an Assistant Professor at IPCA – Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, where he has taught Project management, Logistics, Industrial technology and Quality management. At the University Lusíada of Vila Nova de Famalicão, between 2018 and 2020 he has taught Operations management, Logistics and Project management. In industrial companies, between 2013 and 2020, he has worked as Project and Quality manager. At ISAVE – Health Institute of Alto Ave, between 2010 and 2013, he has worked as Coordinator of the Erasmus program. At the University Nova of Lisbon, between 2008 and 2010, he has worked in educational management initiatives. At TecMinho in 2006/2007 he has worked on enterpreneurship programs under a scientific initiation scholarship. He works in the area of industrial management and education. His research areas include management of R&D projects, industrial engineering, quality and operations management, Lean six-sigma, operational excellence, and university-industry collaboration, particularly, technology transfer and evaluation and licensing of technology. He has coordinated the Project "Knowledge Circle" at IPCA between September, 2021 and June, 2023, which aimed at transferring knowledge and technology from IPCA to industry. He is the course Director of the Bachelor and Master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, and the coordinator of the Scientific Area of Health, Environment and Industrial Technology at the Department of Applied Sciences and Industrial Engineering at IPCA. He is an ambassador for open-science at IPCA as a member of the Project RUN-EU PLUS Professional research programmes for business and society.
