Abstract

Organizations should conduct an assessment of their occupational hazards with the regularity required by law and in order to design and implement preventive measures that are deemed necessary and sufficient to maintain the level of risk and the costs of prevention and the safety at the level considered acceptable by the organization. The design of preventive measures and the selection of measures to be implemented in an organization depend on various aspects and should take into account internal and external costs. In the present paper, an application of the Delphi method to the issue of externalities has been made. After three rounds it was possible to obtain significant findings and a better understanding of the problem of externalities in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
