Occupational Safety and Hygiene II - Selected Extended and Revised Contributions from the International Symposium Occupational Safety and Hygiene, SHO 2014
Maturity models have been adopted in several fields aiming at people, objects, software and social systems assessment. The first reported maturity model (Maslow motivation theory) assesses human needs according five levels. Integrated management systems (IMS) are spreading among organizations focusing resources optimization, processes efficiency and documentation reduction. This article intends to report a two-component model that assesses the IMS maturity through a five level path. The back-office component is a structural statistical based model and the front-office component is a Capability Maturity Model integrated (CMMi) based model. Additionally, this paper aims at reporting the methodologies adopted in developing such model.
