centred on teaching and/or researching in Industrial Engineering and Management, mainly in the following areas: Production Management; Lean and Agile Project Management; Lean Services; Lean Production Systems; Engineering Education; Project-Based Learning (PBL); University-Business Cooperation (UBC). He is currently involved in international projects with universities of eight different countries from Europe, Asia and South America. In these areas of activity he has more than 150 publications in journals, conferences and book chapters. He have been cooperating with editorial work in the following scientific journals: European Journal of Engineering Education, International Journal of Engineering Education and Production journal. This cooperation has been made has invited editor of fours special issues or as a member of the editorial board of the Production journal.He have been involved in research and development projects in the following areas: application of Business Process Modeling (BPM) for Operations Management, and Project Management; Application and development of Agile / Lean Project Management models; Development of Lean projects for analysis and improvement of productivity in interaction with industry.He is also developing research work in the area of Engineering Education, namely: design, implementation and evaluation of Project-Based Learning (PBL); University-Business Cooperation; Application of project management concepts to improvement of learning; Modeling and comparison of the IEM professional profile and program profile.He is Member of the Consultative Committee on the UNESCO research c enter UCPBL, and of the Academic Committee of the international consortium College Doctoral Tordesillas in Production Engineering.During the last years, he delivered 30 workshops in more than 20 Higher Education institutions in 4 countries, on Active Learning and Project-Based Learning for teachers. He is the chair/president of two international associations on Active Learning (ALE) and Project-Based Learning (PAEE) in Engineering Education.
