    Nélson Costa is an Ergonomics and Human Factors Professor at the University of Minho (Portugal), where he is a researcher at the ALGORITMI Research Center in the “Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM)” research line, group of “Ergonomics and Human Factors”. He authored several papers in international peer-reviewed journals, more than

    30 papers in international conference proceedings and 10 book chapters.Nélson Costa has been a member/co-coordinator of several international and national externally funded research projects in the domains of Ergonomics, Occupational Safety and Hygiene. He was the supervisor of more than 20 (concluded) MSc. thesis in several Portuguese universities and of 1 concluded PhD thesis. He currently supervises 3 ongoing PhD projects.He has been collaborating with 3 international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the domain of Ergonomics and Occupational Safety, as a reviewer. He is currently the associate editor of the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Safety (IJOOES), an interdisciplinary journal with peer-review.He is also a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SHO) since 2008 and of the International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education (PAEE) since 2016.Besides his appointment at the University of Minho, he has been a regular invited Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, in Portugal.
