Jorge Cunha is Assistant Professor at the Department of Production and Systems, School of Engineering, University of Minho. He is also a Researcher at ALGORITMI Research Centre, a research unit of the School of Engineering, University of Minho. He holds a PhD in Production and Systems Engineering (2005, University of
Minho), a MSc in Financial Economics (1999, University of Coimbra) and a Graduation in Economics (1996, University of Coimbra). Currently, he is the director of the Master Program in Industrial Engineering, University of Minho.His research interests are related to strategic investment decisions, economic impact studies, energy economics, and the social innovation process. He has participated as a researcher in several national and international research projects on economic impact of higher education institutions, industrial sustainability and attractiveness factors, energy planning, and social innovation process. He is author of more than 60 papers published in international journals, books and conferences (e.g. Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy Policy, Energy, European Journal of Innovation Management, Tertiary Education and Management).He has been reviewer of scientific publications in indexed journals (e.g. Energy Policy, Energy, European Journal of Innovation Management, Tertiary Education and Management, Sustainability, Utilities Policy). He has been member of the scientific and organizing committees of several international conferences (e.g. ICOPEV-International Conference on Production Economics and Project Evaluation, ICEE-International Conference on Energy and Environment, and Regional Helix- International Conference on Innovation, Engineering and Entrepreneurship). He has participated in the evaluation of research and industrial projects for several international institutions.
