Helena Rodrigues is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minho in Portugal, where he is a member of the Ubicomp@UMinho research group. She did her undergraduate studies and received her MSC degree in Computer Science at Universidade do Minho, Portugal. She received her PhD degree in Computer Science from
the University of Kent, UK, in 1999.Her current research interests include methodologies and cloud-based platforms for the development of applications for Smart Spaces, Smart Cities and IoT based systems and applications. Helena Rodrigues has participated in several research projects in the field of Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing, Smart Cities and Industry 4.0 and is currently involved in MSc and PhD courses in the field. She has published her research results in different conferences and journal in the area.She has also participated in several research meetings and conferences, namely as a member of the Scientific Committee, such as the SPD’2012 - The International Symposium on Pervasive Displays, the International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (2012 e 2013) or the Fifth International Conference on Mobile Computing, Applications and Services (MobiCASE 2013). She has served as reviewer for a number of international journals such as the Personal and Ubiquitous Computing journal, the journal of Location Based Services, Sensors journal or Journal of Interacting with Computers.She is supervising PhD and master students and has participated in PhD and master examinations.
