Armando Brito Mendes is a member of the Computer Science and Technology (CST) R&D line, Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG) R&D Group in the Centro ALGORITMI research unit. He completed Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Lisbon in 2005 and it also has a master degree in Operational Research from
the same university. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Azores, where he teaches subjects like programming, data bases, business intelligence and data base for decision support. He has published 12 articles in specialized magazines and 39 works in event proceedings, has 25 chapters of books and 4 books published. It has 50 items of technical production. He is reviewer for more than 30 scientific journals and conferences. He has directed 4 master's dissertations in the areas of Statistics and Computer Science, and participated in 11 master's theses discussions. Received 3 awards and / or honors. Between 2008 and 2011 he coordinated 1 research project, and participated in other 3 regional projects. He works in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Systems Engineering and data science. In his professional activities he interacted with 74 collaborators in co-authoring of scientific works.
